East Jakarta Administration proposed a garbage filter in Item River, RW 06, Cililitan, East Jakarta to be replaced the new ones. This is because the filter has been broken since November 2015 until now  and has not been repaired. As a result, garbage from Item River is often swept away to Ciliwung.

I have made a proposal to Jakarta Cleanliness Dept to replace the broken filter with floating net

Mayor of East Jakarta, Bambang Musyawardana said, garbage filter in the size of 8x2 meters is split in two due to flooding in November 2015 ago.

"I have made a proposal to Jakarta Cleanliness Dept to replace the broken filter with floating net, using styrofoam material. Minimally there are three nets installed in the river thus garbage pile can be parsed," he expressed, Wednesday (1/27).

All this time, the filter function is to restrain garbage from the river.
